Functioning as dedicated strip buffer storage units, they pre-store a substantial length of steel strip ready for use.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>During coil changeover, strip end trimming and butt welding operations between the existing running strip and a new steel coil, the pre-reserved strip stored inside the accumulator maintains steady, uninterrupted material feeding to the downstream forming mill.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As essential auxiliary equipment for ERW tube manufacturing, horizontal and spiral strip accumulators eliminate full production line shutdowns incurred during coil replacement and strip butt welding.
