Our Travelling Gantry Type Welded Pipe Ultrasonic Inspection Machine<\/a> is a fully automatic CNC-controlled NDT system engineered for 100% volumetric inspection of medium and large-diameter production tubing.<\/div>\n

Equipped with high-performance ultrasonic transducer arrays, it achieves high-sensitivity detection of longitudinal cracks, transverse fractures, inclined flaws and laminar delaminations. This unit carries out precise full-length wall thickness measurement concurrently with flaw detection in a single inspection pass.<\/div>\n

Working Principle<\/h2>\n

The machine operates on the\u00a0ultrasonic pulse-echo technique<\/strong>. High-frequency ultrasonic waves (2\u20135 MHz) are generated by piezoelectric probes and transmitted into the pipe wall via\u00a0water-coupling<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

  • No defect<\/strong>: Ultrasound travels through the wall and reflects from the inner surface, producing a\u00a0back-wall echo<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • With defect<\/strong>: Waves reflect earlier at discontinuities (cracks, inclusions, laminations), generating a\u00a0defect echo<\/strong>\u00a0before the back-wall signal.<\/li>\n
