Flattener machine for ERW mill line serves as an indispensable auxiliary processing unit integrated into ERW pipe manufacturing production lines.
Designed specifically for leveling incoming hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel strips uncoiled from steel coils, it effectively corrects inherent material defects including uneven surface undulation, longitudinal camber, edge curling, edge buckling and lateral warpage generated during coil slitting, transportation and storage.
By thoroughly flattening and straightening the entire strip width with precise roller compression before the strip enters the tube forming section, it maintains consistent flatness and uniform straightness of the raw material throughout continuous production.
Consistent strip flatness greatly stabilizes subsequent tube forming geometry, controls forming gap uniformity, avoids strip deviation and misalignment, significantly suppresses common high-frequency welding flaws such as weld seam offset, inconsistent weld clearance, cold welding, incomplete penetration and weld overlap, and delivers consistent dimensional stability for finished ERW pipes.
