Overview

Shear End Welder for OCTG Pipes is a dedicated piece of equipment designed exclusively for OCTG pipe production lines. It primarily performs trimming and joining operations for steel strip coils.

The machine first cuts off uneven, irregular sections at the head and tail of each steel coil strip to ensure neat and flat strip ends. Afterwards, it carries out precise butt welding to connect the end of the used strip with the start of the next incoming coil. Once the welding process is finished, the seamlessly joined steel strip is delivered to the strip accumulator. This workflow guarantees uninterrupted material supply and keeps the entire OCTG pipe production line running continuously and stably.

Our Advantages

Angled shearing creates a spiral weld seam, which enhances structural strength and protects the tube mill.
Consistent welding speed ensures optimal wire penetration and superior weld quality. The equipment is also simple to operate and maintain.
Automatic shearing, seam alignment and welding greatly improve production efficiency.
An optional dual-torch configuration is available for automatic CO₂ gas shielded welding. It delivers higher welding speed and greater current density for stronger weld seams.
