Visão geral

Horizontal and spiral strip accumulators are typically positioned between the shear & end welder unit and the tube forming mill in an ERW pipe production line. This strip storage device reserves a sufficient length of steel strip in advance. When the production line needs to load a new steel coil, cut strip ends and complete butt welding between the outgoing strip and new strip, the pre-stored strip inside the accumulator can continuously feed material to the downstream forming mill uninterruptedly.
As a key auxiliary piece of equipment for ERW tube mills, the horizontal/spiral accumulator guarantees non-continuous line shutdown during coil change and strip butt welding processes. It effectively stabilizes continuous production operation, raises overall line running efficiency, reduces unplanned downtime, improves finished pipe yield rate and product consistency, and significantly boosts the overall output and economic benefits of the entire ERW welded pipe production line.
