The shear end welder is an essential front-end auxiliary unit specially configured for ERW and OCTG welded pipe production lines. Its core function is trimming uneven, deformed or irregular edges at the tail end of the expiring steel strip coil and the head end of the new incoming coil. After precise cutting preparation, the equipment automatically aligns and performs butt welding to splice the two strip ends together seamlessly. Once the butt weld joint is finished and inspected, the connected continuous steel strip is immediately fed into the upstream strip accumulator. This splicing operation enables uninterrupted strip supply toward the downstream tube forming section, eliminating production halts caused by coil switching and ensuring stable, continuous running of the entire pipe manufacturing line.
