Overview
An uncoiler, also referred to as a decoiler, serves as the primary feeding equipment for a full‑set ERW Tube Mill Line. It is purpose‑built to hold, support and continuously pay off steel coils for subsequent processes including strip leveling, forming, welding and pipe sizing during ERW pipe manufacturing.
Our Automatic Steel Coil Uncoiler for ERW Tube Mill Lines processes carbon steel, alloy steel and galvanized steel coils across a broad range of coil weights and widths. Fitted with a hydraulically expandable and retractable mandrel, it firmly clamps steel coils to prevent coil slippage during unwinding. Built‑in anti‑torsion and tension control deliver consistent, smooth strip feeding while minimizing material deformation. This safeguards the entire ERW tube mill line and secures uninterrupted production.
Both single‑head and double‑head uncoiler configurations are offered for ERW pipe mills. The double‑head design allows non‑stop coil changeover, significantly cutting downtime and elevating overall pipe‑making productivity. Our uncoiler units are widely compatible with ERW pipe‑making machines, steel tube forming machines and OCTG pipe production lines, earning recognition from steel pipe manufacturers globally.
Tailor‑made uncoiler solutions can be provided based on your actual coil specifications, ERW tube mill capacity and plant layout. Feel free to contact us for technical datasheets and quotations for your ERW tube mill project.

Our Advantages
- The two drums operate in a continuous cycle: one performs unwinding while the other handles coil loading. This design cuts downtime and boosts productivity. In addition, the drums support forward and reverse rotation to enable both upward and downward unwinding.
- A brake unit mounted at the rear of the main machine keeps the coil firmly positioned during operation.
- The hold-down roll prevents coil bounce and avoids personal injury risks.
