Overview

Our Large Capacity  Strip Accumulator is typically installed between the flying shear & end welding station and the tube forming mill on ERW pipe production lines. Custom-engineered as a buffer storage system for steel strip, it serves to pre-store sufficient strip stock as a standby material reserve.
During coil changeover operations, including strip end trimming and butt welding between the in-running strip and a new coil, the pre-stored strip within this spiral accumulator delivers steady, uninterrupted material feeding to the downstream tube forming mill.
As essential auxiliary equipment for ERW welded pipe production, this horizontal accumulator eliminates full line stoppages triggered by coil replacement and strip butt welding procedures.
