Overview

Orbital Milling Cutoff represents a new-generation fully automatic inline cold flying cutting system engineered for high-speed ERW tube mills, seamless steel pipe production lines and dedicated OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) manufacturing plants. Developed as an advanced upgrade over traditional flying shears and standard flying cold saws, it employs planetary orbital milling cutting technology to perform synchronous tracking and fixed-length cutting on continuously moving steel pipes without production line downtime.
Unlike thermal cutting and stamp shearing processes, this orbital milling cutoff operates entirely via cold cutting. Using a dedicated single cutting blade as its core consumable, it produces pipe ends free of burrs, deformation and heat-affected zones (HAZ). Compatible with small, medium and large-sized carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel pipes, as well as OCTG casing and tubing, it has evolved into the preferred cutting solution for high-end intelligent pipe mills across the globe.
