Overview

An uncoiler (also referred to as a decoiler) serves as the main feeding unit for a complete ERW tube mill line. It is specially engineered to hold, support and continuously pay off steel coils for subsequent downstream processes, including strip leveling, forming, welding and pipe sizing throughout the full ERW pipe‑manufacturing workflow.
Our Double Head Steel Strip Decoiling Machine handles carbon‑steel, alloy‑steel and galvanized‑steel coils covering a broad spectrum of coil weights and widths. Equipped with a hydraulically expandable and retractable mandrel, the unit firmly clamps steel coils to prevent slippage during unwinding. Built‑in anti‑torsion structure and tension control ensure stable, consistent strip feeding while keeping material deformation to a minimum. This safeguards the whole ERW tube mill line and enables continuous non‑stop production.
We provide both single‑head and double‑head uncoiler configurations for ERW pipe mills. Our Advantages

  • The two drums operate in a continuous cycle: one performs unwinding while the other handles coil loading. This design cuts downtime and boosts productivity. In addition, the drums support forward and reverse rotation to enable both upward and downward unwinding.
  • A brake unit mounted at the rear of the main machine keeps the coil firmly positioned during operation.
