Overview
An uncoiler, also known as a decoiler, functions as the primary feeding unit for a complete ERW Tube Mill Line. It is purpose‑engineered to hold, support and continuously pay off steel coils for downstream operations: strip leveling, forming, welding and pipe sizing throughout the ERW pipe manufacturing process.
Our ERW Steel Pipe Production Line Decoiler handles carbon steel, alloy steel and galvanized steel coils covering a wide spectrum of coil weights and widths. Equipped with a hydraulically expandable and retractable mandrel, it securely clamps steel coils to eliminate slippage during unwinding. Integrated anti‑torsion and tension control ensure steady, smooth strip feeding and reduce material deformation, protecting the whole ERW tube mill line and maintaining continuous production.
We provide both single‑head and double‑head uncoiler configurations for ERW pipe mills. The double‑head version supports non‑stop coil changeover, substantially reducing downtime and improving overall pipe‑making productivity. Our uncoiler units feature broad compatibility with ERW pipe‑making machines, steel tube forming machines and OCTG pipe production lines, and are well‑acknowledged by steel pipe manufacturers across the globe.
Tailor‑made uncoiler solutions are available according to your real coil specifications, ERW tube mill capacity and plant layout. Please reach out to us for technical datasheets and quotations for your ERW tube mill project.

Our Advantages
- The two drums operate in a continuous cycle: one performs unwinding while the other handles coil loading. This design cuts downtime and boosts productivity. In addition, the drums support forward and reverse rotation to enable both upward and downward unwinding.
- A brake unit mounted at the rear of the main machine keeps the coil firmly positioned during operation.
- The hold-down roll prevents coil bounce and avoids personal injury risks.
