Overview

Our Horizontal Serpentine Strip Accumulator is generally mounted between the flying shear & end welding station and tube forming mill on ERW pipe production lines. Purpose-built as a steel strip buffer storage unit, it preloads abundant strip stock for standby supply.
In coil changeover processes involving strip end trimming and butt welding between the running strip and a new coil, the stored strip inside this spiral accumulator ensures stable, continuous material feeding to the downstream tube forming mill.
A vital auxiliary device for ERW welded pipe manufacturing, this horizontal accumulator avoids complete line halts caused by coil switching and strip butt welding.
