Overview

40-100mm Horizontal Strip Accumulator are commonly installed between the shear & end welding unit and tube forming mill on ERW pipe production lines. Serving as strip buffering storage equipment, they pre-store a sufficient length of steel strip in reserve.
When the production line requires coil changeover, strip end trimming, and butt welding between the outgoing existing strip and a new steel coil, the pre-stored strip inside the accumulator can deliver a steady, uninterrupted material supply to the downstream forming mill.
As critical auxiliary machinery for ERW tube production, horizontal and spiral strip accumulators eliminate mandatory line stoppages during coil switching and strip butt welding procedures. They stabilize continuous production, improve overall line operational efficiency, cut unplanned downtime, enhance finished pipe yield and dimensional consistency, and substantially lift total throughput and economic profitability for the entire ERW welded pipe manufacturing line.
