Overview

φ178-273mm Single-station API OCTG Pipe Hydrotesting Unit provides high-precision hydrostatic pressure testing for both seamless and welded tubular products across a broad outer diameter spectrum, reliably identifying latent internal defects in pipes.
Featuring large-aperture radial and end-face sealing mechanisms, the equipment achieves robust end sealing prior to high-pressure water injection into pipe bores. All test pressures are precisely maintained in compliance with prevailing industry standards including API 5CT, to verify sealing integrity and detect potential leaks.

Full test data is automatically stored in a dedicated database, enabling complete traceability and easy retrieval of historical records. Fitted with an integrated auto-manual dual control system, this hydrostatic tester guarantees stable, safe and environmentally friendly long-term operation.

Process Flow

The hydraulic pressure test has three processes: pipe flushing, pressure testing and water drainage, and they are run in sequence as follows:

Pipe feeding bed 1→ flipping pipe 1→ pipe flushing → flipping pipe 2 → pipe feeding bed 2→ lateral movement chain → test pressure (clamping → radial pre-sealing → water injection → pipe end sealing→ pressure increase → pressure holding → pressure relief → water discharge → clamp loosening→ lateral movement)  → pipe feeding bed 3 (discharge pipe bed) → water drainage- flipping pipe 3 → storage bed
